100 Horror Movies In 92 Days 2026- Week 2 Highlights

Flesh and FantasyThis year’s challenge seems to be flying by quicker than I expected! It’s wild to me that Week 2 is already over and we’re already 3 days into Week 3! Week 2 delivered fewer favorites, sadly, but there were a few that I did enjoy! So let’s get started!

Here are my 100 Horror Movies in 92 Days 2026- Week 2 picks:

  • They’re Watching (2016)- An American TV crew gets trapped in a centuries-old web of revenge, horror, and blood when their home improvement show is attacked by angry Eastern European villagers out to kill the show’s star. They’re Watching was my favorite Week 2 film and one of my favorite non-recent releases I’ve watched in a while! It was just the right type of horror comedy. It knew that it wanted to lean more into the comedy and didn’t try to waste time going back and forth. Despite the heavy comedic tone, there are some truly unsettling moments. Not to mention, it was co-written and co-directed by Jay Lender, who co-wrote my all-time favorite episode of SpongeBob SquarePants, “Graveyard Shift”.
  • Flesh and Fantasy (1943)- An anthology film of three tales of the supernatural. The first story is set at the Mardi Gras in New Orleans. The second involves a psychic who predicts murder. The third is about a man who literally meets the girl of his dreams. As I mentioned last week, the 1940s are a decade of horror that has a lot of gaps for me. Thankfully, I have a friend who has similar gaps, and we’re trying to fix that. Flesh and Fantasy is on the tamer side of horror but still has enough to count. It’s a fun little anthology. However, where it shone for me was its costuming! I’d argue that you could watch this film for that alone. Passenger
  • Passenger (2026)- After a young couple witnesses a gruesome highway accident, they soon realize they did not leave the crash scene alone, as a demonic presence called the Passenger that won’t stop until it claims them both turns their van life adventure into a nightmare. I’m a long-time fan of André Øvredal’s work and Passenger is no exception. This felt like a film that might have been released in the early aughts and would pair well with Darkness Falls. It has some creepy moments and interesting lore that I would have liked to have seen fleshed out a bit more. Was it perfect? Nah, but it’s a good time, and I’d definitely throw it on again to watch sometime!

I’m hoping Week 3 will have more high points for me! What were some of your favorites from Week 2? As I usually mention, be sure to follow along with my list on Letterboxd and join the challenge’s Discord server. I’ve got lots of watch parties, giveaways, and more lined up, and you won’t want to miss out!
