It’s that time again! We’re now 3 weeks down and well into our 4th week of the 100 Horror Movies in 92 Days Challenge! How has it already been almost a month? On top of that, we have our first finisher! I’m still trucking along, and while my progress hasn’t been as fast as previous years, I’m pretty happy with where I’m at. You’re here for my highlights though, so let’s get started!
Here are my 100 Horror Movies in 92 Days 2026- Week 3 picks:
- Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma (2026)- After years of slapdash sequels and waning fandom, the Camp Miasma slasher franchise is handed over to an enthusiastic young director for resurrection. But when she visits the original’s star, a now-reclusive actress shrouded in mystery, the two women fall into a blood-soaked world of desire, fear, and delirium. Y’all know I’m a sucker for fun uses of food in horror movies, and this one didn’t disappoint. On top of that, it’s a really solid film. Going in knowing as little as possible feels like the best way to go, so I don’t want to say more aside from, go see it!
- Razorteeth (2005)- A government agent must act quickly when a plane load of frozen piranhas crashes into a lake near a resort and the hungry, mutant fish begin to thaw. I’ve been diving (pun intended) into the Polonia Brothers’ filmography again this year with some friends. If you like a low-budget creature feature that primarily uses practical effects, this one is for you!
- Blood Shine (2025)- In her remote country home, a religious zealot takes a young filmmaker captive, claiming her sadistic rituals will change him into a god. As a long-time supporter of Paper Street Pictures, this film was immediately added to my watchlist upon its announcement. I really enjoyed it and hope more folks check it out. The House that Screamed (2000)- A recently widowed writer rents a haunted house in which to write his latest novel and is soon beset by the various ghosts in the house bent on claiming him as their next victim. As I said above, I’ve really been getting into more of the Polonia Brothers, and this one was wild! Imagine The Shining combined with an erotic thriller and set in Pennsylvania. I can’t wait to see the sequel!- The Spiral Staircase (1946)- On a stormy night, the mute servant to an ailing matriarch is stalked by a serial killer. Much like last week, I’m still filling in some of my gaps from the 1940s. Additionally, I’ve been watching movies I own but haven’t seen, so this was like double dipping. The Spiral Staircase is beautifully shot, and atmospheric as all get out. If you enjoy “old dark house” movies, this one is definitely for you!
Week 3 was pretty solid, though I will say Week 4 is starting a little slow! We’ll see what we wind up with! What were some of your Week 3 highlights? Let me know in the comments below!
