It’s hard to believe that it’s already April! There aren’t a ton of gastro horror releases this month, but at least there are more than last month! Not only that, but a couple of titles aren’t ones we often see on streaming services. Hopefully, we’ll see more things either move platforms or become available in the upcoming months! It’s also worth noting that Dinner to Die For is now on VOD. I highly recommend renting or purchasing it because it’s a great film. April 1st
- Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988)– Aliens disguised as clowns crash land on Earth in a rural town to capture unsuspecting victims in cotton candy cocoons for later consumption. (Prime Video)
- The Menu (2022)- A young couple travels to a remote island to eat at an exclusive restaurant where the chef has prepared a lavish menu, with some shocking surprises. (Prime Video)
- Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007)- The infamous story of Benjamin Barker, a.k.a Sweeney Todd, who sets up a barber shop down in London, which is the basis for a sinister partnership with his fellow tenant, Mrs. Lovett. (PlutoTV)
- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)- After picking up a traumatized young hitchhiker, five friends find themselves stalked and hunted by a chainsaw-wielding killer and his family of equally psychopathic killers. (Shudder)
- Three…Extremes (2004)- Features an anthology centered on a woman trying alternative methods to stay young, a film-maker and a disgruntled extra determined to take revenge on him, and a novelist as well as her twin sister. (Shudder)
- Troll 2 (1990)- When young Joshua learns that he will be going on vacation with his family to a small town called Nilbog, he protests adamantly. He is warned by the spirit of his deceased grandfather that goblins populate the town. His parents, Michael and Diana, dismiss his apprehensions, but soon learn to appreciate their son’s warnings. Guided by his grandfather’s ghost, will Joshua and his family stand a chance in fighting off these evil beings? (Shudder)
April 3rd
- Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 (2025)- One year since the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, the stories about what transpired there have been twisted into a campy local legend, inspiring the town’s first-ever Fazfest. With the truth kept from her, Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, setting into motion a terrifying series of events that will reveal dark secrets about the real origin of Freddy’s, and unleash a decades-hidden horror. - Parched (2017)- A quintet of college kids take a road trip to an abandoned house and unintentionally drink infected water that turns them slowly insane and murderous – but this is no accident. (FoundTV)
