Holy moly! One month down for this year’s 100 Horror Movies in 92 Days Challenge! We are a third of the way done! I hope you’ve all found some gems so far! Each week, I feel like I’m adding new favorites! This past week I didn’t get a ton watched due to podcast prep for Final Girls Feast, but I did get a couple in!
Here are my 100 Horror Movies in 92 Days 2025- Week 4 highlights:
- The Ugly Stepsister– In a fairy-tale kingdom where beauty is a brutal business, Elvira battles to compete with her incredibly beautiful stepsister, and she will go to any length to catch the prince’s eye. This is an interesting one. I don’t think it will work for everyone, but in terms of gastro horror, it gave me a lot to think about.
- The Cannibal Club– Otavio and Gilda are a very wealthy couple of the Brazilian elite who have the habit of eating their employees. Otavio owns a private security company and is a notable member of The Cannibal Club. When Gilda accidentally discovers a secret from Borges, a powerful congressman and the Club’s leader, her and her husband’s lives are in grave danger. I wished this had a bit more cannibalism, but it was a good watch and worth checking out.
- Peeping Tom– Loner Mark Lewis works at a film studio during the day and, at night, takes racy photographs of women. Also, he’s making a documentary on fear, which involves recording the reactions of victims as he murders them. He befriends Helen, the daughter of the family living in the apartment below his, and he tells her vaguely about the movie he is making. Peeping Tom was absolutely gorgeous! The use of color in this film is perfection. This is also an early precursor to the in-world camera films we know today.

- The Food of the Gods– Morgan and his friends are on a hunting trip on a remote Canadian island when they are attacked by a swarm of giant wasps. Looking for help, Morgan stumbles across a barn inhabited by an enormous killer chicken. After doing some exploring, they discover the entire island is crawling with animals that have somehow grown to giant size. The most dangerous of all of these, however, are the rats, who are mobilizing to do battle with the human intruders. I know I’m not supposed to, but I was cheering for the adorable giant rats. This film was wild and apparently has an even weirder sequel that’s pretty hard to find.
- The Toxic Avenger (2023)– A horrible toxic accident transforms downtrodden janitor Winston Gooze into a new evolution of hero: The Toxic Avenger. Now wielding a glowing mop with super-human strength, he must race against time to save his son and stop a ruthless and power-hungry tyrant bent on harnessing toxic superpowers to strengthen his polluted empire. I loved this movie way more than I thought I would. For my full thoughts, you can read my full review here.
