I’m back! Sorry for combining weeks 5 and 6, but as you’ll notice, my site has gone under a bit of a rebrand. That said, nothing has changed in terms of the 100 Horror Movies In 92 Days Challenge. We are still going strong! My movie watching has slowed because of all the work changing things around here, but I’m still trucking along!
Here are my 100 Horror Movies in 92 Days 2025- Weeks 5 and 6 highlights:
- The Cleanse– The story of a heartbroken man who attends a spiritual retreat, only to discover that the course releases more than everyday toxins and traumatic experiences. This one is lighter on the horror but still has some Goosebumps meets Pixar vibes. If cozy horror is a thing, The Cleanse falls into that category.
- The Conjuring: Last Rites– Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren take on one last terrifying case involving mysterious entities they must confront. While the real Ed and Lorraine Warren were obviously questionable people, Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson continue to have some of the best on-screen chemistry of any couple. The film’s finality feels earned and didn’t leave the audience with a cheap, will they or won’t they come back moment. While it isn’t as scary as early entries, it does deliver.
- Henshurei: Deleted– An assistant editor and assistant producer discover a mysterious ghost in the footage of a movie project they are working on. As they work on the project, a series of strange deaths begins to occur. This isn’t a groundbreaking film by any means, but it is an enjoyable watch. It has some creepy vibes with some great effects work. At 64 minutes, it never overstays its welcome, which makes it a good pick if you’re looking for a shorter watch.

- Kombucha– A mind-altering drink makes employees work themselves to death. Of course, there needed to be more gastro horror here! That said, in all honesty, this movie slaps! It’s smart and uses gastro elements in really cool ways! Seriously, it may feel as though I’m being brief here, but I really don’t want to give too much away. You can listen to the Final Girls Feast episode about Kombucha if you want more in-depth thoughts.
- KPop Demon Hunters– When K-pop superstars Rumi, Mira, and Zoey aren’t selling out stadiums, they’re using their secret powers to protect their fans from supernatural threats. I’m late to the party on this one, but both my husband and I loved it! Believe the hype on this one. If it doesn’t sweep awards season for best animated film, I’d be floored.
I hope this list gives you some fresh ideas if you’re feeling uninspired. Be sure to follow along with my list on Letterboxd and join the challenge’s Discord server. We are doing weekly watch parties, giveaways, and more! I have several planned for this month, so be sure to head over there ASAP. What were your Week 5 and 6 favorites? What are your plans for Week 7? Let me know in the comments below! Happy watching!
