100 Horror Movies in 92 Days 2025- Weeks 11 and 12 Highlights

Shelby OaksWe are coming to a close on this year’s 100 Horror Movies In 92 Days challenge! I’ve been swamped with some article deadlines, so I’m combining the last two weeks! I’ve been cruising along and am currently in the 150s! I’m hoping to get to 160 by Halloween!

Here are my 100 Horror Movies in 92 Days 2025- Weeks 11 and 12 highlights:

  • Shelby Oaks A woman’s obsessive search for her missing sister leads her into a terrifying mystery at the hands of an unknown evil. I’ll have a full review of this film soon but I really dug Shelby Oaks. It’s one of the few hybrid in-world camera films that used its hybridization correctly. It also had a few jump scares that even got me!
  • HIM After suffering a potentially career-ending brain trauma, Cameron Cade receives a lifeline when his hero, legendary eight-time Championship quarterback and cultural megastar Isaiah White, offers to train Cam at Isaiah’s isolated compound that he shares with his celebrity influencer wife. But as Cam’s training accelerates, Isaiah’s charisma begins to curdle into something darker. HIM feels like an interesting take on American Folk Horror, where instead of a traditional religion, it uses the way Americans look at football as religion. I didn’t think I’d love this movie as much as I did, but it was really solid and worth checking out!HIM
  • HeBGB TV Goofy horror hijinks and high camp queer shenanigans ensue when some siblings get transmitted into an unsuspecting household via a retro-horror TV cable box. This neon-soaked anthology feels like it was made for millennials who grew up watching Nickelodeon. I had way more fun than I expected and think that if you’re into goopy horror, you’ll have a good time with this one.
  • Something Evil A young couple moves into a farmhouse in rural Pennsylvania. What they don’t know is that there is an unseen presence in the house, and that it wants to take possession of the wife. I chose to program this movie for the Frightening Ass Movie Marathon without having ever seen it! It was directed by Steven Spielberg so I figured that despite it being a made-for-TV movie, it would still be enjoyable. Glad I was right!
  • One Missed Call (2003) People mysteriously start receiving voicemail messages from their future selves, in the form of the sound of them reacting to their own violent deaths, along with the exact date and time of their future death, listed on the message log. The plot thickens as the surviving characters pursue the answers to this mystery, which could save their lives. Along with HeBGB TV, I watched the entire One Missed Call series for an article I wrote about candy in horror movies. I actually liked the whole series, but thought I’d mention this one since it was the beginning place.
  • FeedersFeeders (1996)- Two friends on a road trip pass through a town where aliens are landing and feeding upon some of the civilians. On paper, this movie should have absolutely not been my thing. However, like several of the movies on this list, I was pleasantly surprised! My dive into the early work of the Polonia brothers has been rather joyful, and those little aliens were so dang cute!
